Steph & Aaron
Elopements are special
Weddings on the Fleurieu Peninsula carry a different kind of beauty. Couples who choose to marry here often see the land — its shifting forms, seasonal rhythms, and the abundance it offers. From rich, overgrown winters to dry, sculptural summers, nature sets the stage in her own way.
Steph and Aaron eloped at a luxury retreat in the Inman Valley — a stunning, story-filled place that perfectly suited their quiet, intentional celebration. There was no rush, no crowd. Just the two of them, held by the landscape and their shared commitment.

The bridal bouquet
From the first time I spoke with Steph, I knew she’d be a dream to work with. The brief was to create floral pieces which popped – with an overall whimsical, garden like feel. Their secret wedding was held in a luxury retreat in the Inman Valley.
As a florist you are always on the hunt for that something special, a stem which has that extra curve, the florals which have the extra large petals or petite floral heads. All placed ‘just so’ to reflect the specialness of the day and nest in with the overall mood and style - as well as reflect your artistry as a florist.
Repurposing flowers
After the ceremony, Steph and Aaron chose to repurpose their wedding flowers — on-gifting them to local not-for-profits.
It’s a quiet act of generosity, and one that extends the beauty of the day beyond its own moment. This is something we offer all couples at Fera Flores — a small but meaningful way to reduce waste and share floral joy with the wider community.
Flowers for their elopment
The floral palette brought together Australian-grown and locally sourced blooms: roses, poppies, tulips, berries, buds, and seasonal greens. The colours — peach, blush, mauve, red, and layered greens — created contrast and softness in equal measure.
The ceremony pieces and bouquet weren’t just beautiful — they gave shape and feeling to the day. Designed to shine without shouting, and to compliment the couple rather than outshine them.
